The Magdalo
The Magdalo is a national movement that advocates good governance and social justice. Its vision is to have a peaceful, progressive and prosperous Country with a united Filipino citizenry.
The Magdalo was founded by a group of reformist officers and men of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who upheld their Constitutional mandate as the protector of the people and the state, and bravely fought the corrupt and oppressive Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo regime. The group's members were eventually incarcerated for their convictions. However, even after several years of detention, they remain steadfast in their belief that the Filipino people deserve a better government.
Today, the Magdalo symbolizes courage in the face of adversity; honesty and integrity in public service; and high sense of patriotism and nationalism.
Samahang Magdalo
The Magdalo believes that the only way towards its vision is to have a united, responsible and empowered citizenry. To this end, the Magdalo decided to open its doors to people from all walks of life, who share the same dreams and aspirations for our Country. Thus, the Samahang Magdalo was born.
Who can join?
The following are the basic qualifications to become a member of the Samahang Magdalo:
• Filipino citizens
• 18 years old and above
• Must be willing to adhere to the principles and advocacies of the Magdalo

Interested individuals can simply download and fill-out the application form attached below. Submit the said application form to designated coordinators in your area or send it to us via mail at:

After meticulously reading your well-opined commentaries, I have decided to stop advocating the dissolution of the post-colonial experiment multi-ethnic state known as the Republic of the Philippines. It was often said that "a revolt from the generals is for the perpetaution of the status quo; a revolt from the colonels is for the middle class; and a revolt from the captains/leutenants down to sargeants is a revolt for the interest of the poor/working class". Whether this is true or not is hard to prove: one thing sure though is the Magdalo is a genuine party that will not cater to the interests of the elite and its minions. Mabuhay.
